When did you first start your IG home account?
I’ve always loved following pretty homes on Instagram, and 16 months ago decided to give my very own account a whirl!! It was mainly to chat to people with similar interests to me, and share ideas with them (my husband was sick to death of me picking his brains on which shade of grey paint was best, and should I get the marble or white lamp!!) I’m incredibly grateful to have come this far and have the chance to work with amazing companies like Shabby Store!
What is your most favourite item from Shabby Store?
My very favourite thing is my grey buttoned velvet chaise lounge! It was quite an extravagant purchase, but I saw it and fell in love!!!
What was the first product you bought from Shabby Store?
It was a patterned white ceramic ginger jar, years ago now! I absolutely adore it! It’s such a versatile item to style with, I love adding different flowers to mine to adapt the look as the seasons change.
What product have you got your eye on at the moment?
There are lots of beautiful coral pieces available at the moment which I just love! Coral is such a great way of adding texture and interest to a console or coffee table. I also love the new collection of white lidded jars!
What is it that you love about Shabby Store?
The range of products is fantastic. The accessory section is my favourite, there are so many goodies to choose from! Products are always bang on trend and pricing is competitive. I love following the Instagram feed for inspiration and ideas.
What is your favourite room in your home?
We’ve just had a new kitchen fitted, which still feels like such a novelty!! I’m really enjoying cooking with the kids and I spend so much time there. I also love my new master bedroom that we’ve just decorated.
How would you describe your decor style?
I love a timeless, classic look with lots of neutrals and grey tones. I find it so calming and it gives me a feeling of escapism from the hustle and bustle of the outside world when I walk through the door. Warmth and comfort is important too, I have lots of throws tossed about and plump cushions to relax on. Lots of beautifully scented candles are a must have for me too! The children’s rooms have a much more vibrant vibe, my little boy has a Batman themed room with a slide bed which he thinks is fab!
How will you be decorating your home for Christmas?
My home has lots of greys, whites, neutrals and hints of black in it, so I’m thinking a white, taupe and silver theme might look nice. I’ve got a tree in my bedroom for the first time this year too, it’s amazing to go to bed with the lights twinkling away!
