When did you first start your home Instagram account?
I started it in June 2018 when we first moved into our new-build, I liked taking photos of before and after and wanted somewhere away from my personal account to document our journey.
How long have you been a fan of Shabby.?
Well, you were one of the first accounts I followed, I fell in love with EVERYTHING. I found your styling so inspiring and of course, wanted it all!
What is your favourite room in your home?
Probably my bedroom, it’s the only room that is child free, no toys and all neutral. I’m such a fan of neutrals but having a young family, I’ve added hints of colour around the home.
What item from Shabby. could you not live without?
My Cross End Dining Table
and Nude Ring Back Dining Chairs
! It’s a dream set, easy to keep clean, even with the chairs being nude and having small children. The chairs are comfy and the table is a fabulous size for a family of 6.
How would you describe your personal style?
Calming, the fact that I’ve used a neutral base in every room means it flows without pulling your eye to anything bold.
What is it that you love about working with Shabby.?
I want everything and I can style everything easily. It’s all on trend and you have such a huge variety of each item.
Do you have any upcoming decorating plans?
We are mid way through our kitchen and we have a 2 year old girls bedroom.
Do you often change up your home decor?
Frequently, I’m terrible! I’m thinking about our living room, and potentially doing that again.
What inspired you to start renovating your home?
I’ve always been into home interiors and get bored easily, we have so many plans to look forward to, but until all children are at school, I can’t bring myself to start anything large as I can’t cope with the mess.
Do you have any top tips to give to any other home décor fans?
I find if you have a neutral base, neutral walls, flooring and large furniture items, then you can easily change your accessories when you’re bored, without the expense of changing the entire room. A few cushions, new lamps, new rug and home decor items is much more easily done rather than having to decorate walls, change flooring and buy large pieces of furniture.
